Though the PS4 might be nearing the end of its life, the many happy players out there have been getting a lot of controllers. According to Sony themselves with their recent NPD, the black Dualshock 4 Wireless Controller is the best selling gamepad of all time, as far as dollar sales are concerned.
That’s kind of an asterisk, as that qualifier doesn’t really mean that the Dualshock 4 as a whole has outsold any other controller as a whole, and singling out the black SKU kind of suggests that this is just considering individual controller SKUs, as opposed to say, all Dualshock 4s against all Xbox One Gamepads, of which there is a larger variety of colours and PC gamers also use them quite regularly.
In other controller news, Microsoft recently revealed the Xbox Adaptive Controller, designed in tandem with many other groups to create a better gaming experience for disabled persons. What’s your favourite controller of all time? Sound off in the comments below.
