Destiny 2: Forsaken is primed to be a major overhaul of the game, the kind of significant expansion that Bungie is doubtless hoping will do for Destiny 2 what The Taken King did for the original game in 2015. The troubled game really needs that kind of a reboot, desperately- it’s undershooting on most metrics, and the rhetoric surrounding the game has grown incredibly negative.

Bungie, on their part, are doing what they can to drum up the hype for the upcoming expansion. That includes sharing new videos and trailers, such as this brand new one that they put out today, showing all the sweet loot, from weapons to armor and everything in between, that Guardians will be able to pick up in the expansion.

A lot of this actually looks really fun and imaginative, which may solve one of the core problems Destiny 2 has faced since launch, which is the boring weapons and loot that disincentivize grinding for players. Destiny 2: Forsaken launches on September 4 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A couple of new videos recently released for the expansion, one detailing super abilities and another showing gameplay footage from one of the game’s earlier missions. Be sure to check them out.
