Desperados 3 3

Once you finally get your hands on Red Dead Redemption 2 or if you don’t manage to play it at all, you may want to look for another game not quite of the same scope, but making use of the Wild West setting. If so, you’re in luck because Desperados III has just been announced by developer Mimimi Productions and publisher THQ Nordic.

Mimimi Productions is best known for their work on Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, so they definitely have the experience to bring to life once again the tactical series, Desperados. In this third instalment, you will control five characters who will be led by John Cooper, who is trying to hunt down his nemesis. Players will have a variety of ways to approach a mission and they will have to make use of the environment and each character’s unique abilities to move forward in the game.

You can check out the announcement trailer, gameplay footage, and some screenshots and artwork for the game below. It certainly looks interesting, and the gameplay style and the setting seem like a weirdly right fit. Take a look below. Desperados III is set to release for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One in 2019.
