Bungie Release Pre-Halo Shooter On iPad

Posted By | On 09th, Jul. 2011

Back in a time which Xbox players call ‘The Dark Age’, the Master Chief was just a twinkle in Bungie’s metaphorical eye. The aforementioned developer did, however, produce a few quality shooters before the platform defining monster that is Halo was birthed and one of those has arrived on iPad: 1994’s Marathon. True it looks a bit like DOOM, but so did most shooters in the 90’s. The game is free to download but will contain in-app purchases such as hi-res textures, the ability to save anywhere and something called ‘Master Chief’ mode which is essentially a buyable cheat code.

Thanks to CVG for the info.
