Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is launching in less than a month now, but according to Treyarch, that launch is only going to be the beginning of a long journey. The developer has put up an update on its website, where it promises constant post-launch support for the game in the form of new modes, expansions, updates, and events.

The first major piece of content coming to Black Ops 4 after its launch will be a revamped version of the fan favourite map Nuketown, which will be made available to all players for free in November. Additionally, a new Specialist character will also be added to the game in December.

Treyarch also promises to constantly keep updating Blackout, its battle royale mode, with expansions to the map, new modes, and more. Meanwhile, the developer has also vaguely promised timed events and seasonal events- what these will be exactly is something that, obviously, we’ll only learn more about as we get closer to their planned launch.

“We are working hard to make Black Ops 4 something that is truly extraordinary for the whole community to enjoy together going forward,” Treyarch writes in the update. “We are 100% committed to supporting the Black Ops community and cannot wait to take the next step on this journey.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launches on October 12 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
