Battlefield 5

Battlefield V is set to release in November, and in the build up to its launch, the developers have been making a lot of necessary improvements to the game based on the feedback they’ve received from the beta. They’ve also been revealing new gameplay details and answering many fans’ questions about several things, including, most recently, things like aiming, weather effects, and other gameplay features.

On the game’s official website, DICE revealed new details about the Assault class, and also about combat roles. Combat roles are available based on the class you choose and provide two specific traits. While you start off with just one combat role available, another one can be unlocked later on by just playing more the game. You can read more about the Assault class and about combat roles through the link above.

Multiplayer Producer David Sirland also answered quite a few questions about the game on his Twitter account. First of all, he confirmed that aim assist rotation will be removed from the game, but aim assist slowdown is here to stay. Sirland also provided some details about how weather effects will affect gameplay. He states that at times, the point of certain weather conditions is to make it harder to see, but such extreme weather conditions don’t last for long.

Sirland also mentioned that DICE have a lot of post-launch content planned for the game, as the biggest live team they’ve ever assembled will be supporting it after launch. More details about post-launch content will be revealed as we get closer to the game’s release date.

You can check out all of Sirland’s responses below. Battlefield V is set to release for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 20.
