Diluvion Resubmerged

Arachnid Games’ Diluvion made a somewhat underwhelming splash when it released in February 2017. The underwater game with FTL-like exploration and world-building had its share of issues and glitches. Nonetheless, the development team has spent more than a year improving the game. Diluvion: Resubmerged is the result of those efforts.

Improvements in Diluvion: Resubmerged include more dynamic salvaging, a new forging system for better customization, improved quest tracking and waypoints with a revamped UI, new side quests, new artwork, and new music. It’s also now possible to save anywhere, which should be a boon for anyone burned by these issues in the base game.

Players can choose from nine different submarines and customize them, adding different crew members to bolster a specific play-style. One thing worth noting is how the game’s presentation still holds up, presenting a great mix of 3D environments and 2D art. If you’re interesting in trying Diluvion: Resubmerged, it’s currently discounted by 75 percent on Steam. Those keen to access the original Diluvion can find it on the “staging branch”. Simply opt out of Resubmerged’s updates to play.
