They’ll serve as your companions on your path to rehabilitation, inmate.

I’m sure you know Caroline and Justine if you have played Persona 5– they’re Igor’s assistants in the Velvet Room, helping the protagonist of the game on his path to rehabilitation, and carrying out duties such as Persona fusion for him over the course of the game.

Both of them will also be in Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth, the upcoming Nintendo 3DS crossover game that unites the casts of Persona 3, 4, and 5 for one grand adventure. And the newest trailer for the game focuses on introducing them and their role in the game to us, in the vein of past Persona Q2 trailers that have served as character introduction videos.

We get to see them interacting with the protagonist, as well as fusing new Personas for him; they’ve translated over to the game’s chibi art style fantastically (they were probably the characters that would have translated over the best, to be honest, not counting mascot characters like Morgana or Teddie).

You can see the trailer below. At this point, we’ve received character trailers for almost all major characters from Persona 3, 4, and 5, but one of the notable omissions is Makoto Niijima. I suppose Atlus is saving the best for last.

Persona Q2 launches for the Nintendo 3DS on November 28 in Japan.
