Gears of War 3 To Have A Casual Mode

Posted By | On 24th, Jul. 2011

The upcoming Gears of War 3, the conclusion to the Xbox 360 exclusive sci fi TPS trilogy, is one of the sole beacons for hardcore gamers on the system this year. However, Epic Games has just revealed that even Gears 3 might in fact have fallen prey to some degree to the casual gamer curse that is afflicting the Xbox 360.

Realizing that newcomers to the series will have problems playing the online multiplayer mode of Gears of War 3, Epic Games has included an all new Casual mode for newcomers, complete with aim assist. This mode can only be accessed if you have no achievements from the previous two Gears of War titles, and if you haven’t played the beta for Gears 3.

Well, at least the casual mode is completely non intrusive. Wish other games took a leaf out of Gears 3’s book.
