Mortal Kombat 11’s Existence Possibly Confirmed By Voice Actor

Mexican voice actor Lalo Garza recently posted a tweet about how he won't be reprising his roles in Mortal Kombat 11.

We have, curiously enough, not heard a peep of anything to do with Mortal Kombat 11 from NeatherRealm Studios for years. Even though there have been rumblings here and there that the sequel is indeed coming, the people behind the game have kept frustratingly quiet about it ever since Mortal Kombat X launched in 2015.

And while what we have today still isn’t official by any means, it’s about as close to it as we’ve gotten in a while. Spanish voice actor Lalo Garza, the voice of characters Reptile and Kung Lao in Spanish dubs of Mortal Kombat, recently put up a tweet in which he directly mentioned Mortal Kombat 11.

Though the tweet is in Spanish, a quick translation shows that his disgruntled update mentions he won’t be playing a role in the as of yet unannounced title. He mentions that Pink Noise Studios made the decision to remove his voice from the game- in case you’re wondering, Pink Noise is a localization studio, so it’s possible that they could be working with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the Spanish dub of Mortal Kombat 11.

Again, this is not an official announcement by any stretch of the imagination, and we’re yet to hear anything from NeatherRealm or Warner Bros, but the it isn’t that much of a stretch to assume that yes, a Mortal Kombat sequel is indeed in the works. Perhaps an announcement is in the pipeline? We already know that there’s going to be some big reveals at The Game Awards in December- hopefully, we’ll hear something official then.
