With Year 4 of Rainbow Six: Siege just around the corner, the online shooter’s large playerbase is understandably curious about what Ubisoft has in store for it next. And according to a recent leak, it seems the game is finally going to give in to something that a fair bit of players have been requesting for some time now.
As per a leak posted by a ResetEra user, citing a source in the industry, the first season of year 4 of Rainbow Six Siege is going to see the shooter head to Australia, with two new Australian operators being added to the game. One of them is Gridlock, described as an attacker who can plant a red web tracker on the ground, which deals damage to any defenders that run into it, and also makes noise. The second is Mozzie, a defender- she is equipped with a device that can take control of any enemy drones that go into it.
The leak also claims that the season 2 map Kanal is also going to be reworked, though doesn’t go into details on just how- presumably in keeping with the Australian theme of the upcoming season. An image of the two operators was also posted in a separate message– it’s pretty low quality, but it looks pretty legit, so take a look below.
Of course, as is the case with any leak, it’s best to take this with a grain of salt, and wait for official confirmation one way or another from Ubisoft. Rainbow Six Siege is out now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
