The excellent post-launch support for Pokemon GO, which led to its resurgence last year, continues. Niantic has now added a generation 4 Legendary Pokemon as a Raid Pokemon in the game. This Pokemon is none other than Palkia, the god of space in the Pokemon universe. Sinnoh had some of the best Legendary and Mythical Pokemon ever, given its emphasis on myths, legends, and lore, so it should come as no surprise that there is so much excitement surrounding their addition to Pokemon GO.
Palkia being Dragon and Water type means it is extraordinarily difficult to take down—it resists Ice, which is one of the go-to strategies for Dragon types, and The Pokemon Company suggests having a Dragon type Pokemon of your own to counter it. Though given the fact that Palkia has high Speed stats, and Dragon Type moves of its own, that can be a double edged sword.
You have 29 days to catch Palkia—it will be available as a Raid Pokemon until February 28. More than enough time to try and collect one, if you really want it.
