Respawn Entertainment will be adding a new gun to Apex Legends tomorrow. While the only hint in an official tweet were the words “get ready to cry havoc,” the weapon appears to use Energy ammo. The brief GIF provided either points to a modified Volt or the L-Star, both from Titanfall 2.

Of course, it could just be a brand new weapon that utilizes the properties of either. If this is indeed an Energy weapon, then it will bolster the current line-up of guns in that category. Currently, only two weapons use Energy ammo in the game – the Triple Take and the Devotion.

In case you missed it, Respawn also released a new patch yesterday, which helps with crashes and performance issues on all platforms. Next month will see the release of the first Battle Pass with unique cosmetics to earn. Rumours also indicate that new Legends and modes, including support for up to 24 player squads, are also en route. Stay tuned for more details in the coming days.
