Apex Legends

Apex Legends‘ first season, dubbed “Wild Frontier”, has officially begun. The free to play battle royale title’s first Battle Pass is also live, promising more than 100 unique items to unlock. A new Legend, Octane, is also live, and brings his own high-speed kit to the fight.

Octane’s abilities are pretty standard – he can use up health to gain a speed boost but will also regenerate lost vitality. His Ultimate involves dropping a launch pad that allows for massive jumps. As it stands, he’s pretty fast-paced and a pretty nice change of pace from the other Legends. He needs to be purchased separately though.

The Wild Frontier Battle Pass can be purchased with 950 Apex Coins, which is about $10. This immediately unlocks three skins for Lifeline, Mirage, and Wraith. Other items included with the pass are a Legendary Havoc skin, Apex Packs, stat trackers, and much more. There aren’t any challenges to complete – simply level up the Battle Pass by playing the game.
