Mortal Kombat 11 is currently holding a closed beta for PS4 and Xbox One players, and many have been able to get some hands-on time with the game. Among the details that have been emerging as a result, we’ve also been able to find out how the game – or it’s beta, at the very least – on the platforms that it’s available now.

VG Tech has put up a technical analysis video for the beta (which you can view below), and brought to light some interesting numbers about the game’s frame rates and resolutions. The game is employing dynamic resolutions on all systems, and switches to higher pixel counts during scenes where it limits the frame rate to a cap of 30 frames per second.

On the Xbox One X, the game is running at resolutions between 2880×1620 and 3200×1800, though during scenes where the frame rate is capped at 30 frames per second, the resolution can go as high as 3840×2160. Meanwhile, on the PS4 Pro, the resolution is falling between 2240×1260 and 2560×1440, with a maximum of 3200×1800 during 30 FPS scenes (though it does downsample on these occasions).

Meanwhile, on the base PS4, the game is steadily achieving 1080p resolutions. On the base Xbox One, it flickers between 1536×864 and 1664×936, though can go to 1080p during scenes where the frame rate is capped at 30 frames per second.

Though the beta is only available on the PS4 and the Xbox One, NetherRealm Studios have made assurances in the past about other versions of the game as well. They’ve said that the PC version – being handled by QLOC – will be better optimized than other NetherRealm games have been in the past. Meanwhile on the Switch, the game will use lower geometry to be able to hit a steady frame rate of 60 FPS.

Mortal Kombat 11 launches on April 23 for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
