If you pre-ordered NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat 11 for the Xbox One or PS4, rejoice! The closed beta for both versions is now live. It will be available until March 31st, 11:59 PM PT and you’ll need Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus for online multiplayer. Check the official FAQ for more information.

In terms of content, there are five characters to choose from – Jade, Kabal, Skarlet, Scorpion, and Baraka. Along with the Custom Character Variation System for changing gear, intros, victory outros, and the like, there’s the Towers of Time mode for single-player fans.

NetherRealm has recently confirmed other characters that will be appearing in the final game. Along with Kotal Khan, we’ll see the likes of Liu Kang, Kung Lao, and Jax joining the fight. The developer also confirmed that movement in the final game will be improved over the beta, for those worried. Mortal Kombat 11 will release on April 23rd for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
