NetherRealm Studios’ beta for Mortal Kombat 11 will be starting next week from March 27th, 8 AM PT to March 31st, 11:59 PM PT. It will only be available for Xbox One and PS4 players, for those who have pre-ordered either version. Fighters available in the beta can be seen in the new trailer.

There are five characters in total – Jade, Kabal, Scarlet, Scorpion, and Baraka. Online multiplayer will be available, as will the Towers of Time mode in single-player. You can also check out the Custom Character Variation System, which allows for customizing gear, Brutalities, intros, victory cinematics, and so on. Both the character customization and Towers of Time are playable offline, but for online multiplayer, Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus are required.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out on April 23rd for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. NetherRealm recently revealed Kotal Khan, along with footage of Jacqui Briggs beating the tar out of him. For those concerned about movement in the beta, director Ed Boon has promised that it will be “even better” at launch.
