Assassin's Creed Odyssey - The Fate of Atlantis

The first episode of Ubisoft’s latest DLC for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, The Fate of Atlantis, is now live. Fields of Elysium will see players travel to the underworld and encounter The First Civilization, the Isu, face-to-face. Accessing the DLC might take a bit of work though.

You can play the main story as per normal and complete the Lost Story of Greece quest, “Heir of Memories.” Thankfully, a quicker option has been provided with the temporary save option. Simply choose a new character and you can skip directly to the DLC. The character will be at level 52 with three sets of Legendary gear and weapons, each for a different playstyle.

Once you get to Atlantis, a host of new powers will open up to help combat the new enemies. Scout the Fields of Elysium and locate four Keeper’s Insights. These will augment existing abilities to make them even stronger. Ubisoft has detailed what each augmented ability is capable of:

  • Ares Madness: Replacing Battlecry of Ares, Ares Madness lets you conjure a glowing, unbroken version of the Spear of Leonidas for 10 seconds, during which you’ll deal 35% Assassin damage and be immune to death.
  • Might of Artemis: This enhancement modifies Rain of Destruction, turning it into a super attack that surrounds you with a rain of arrows that dish out 450% Hunter damage and stun enemies for five seconds.
  • Kronos Time Warp: This enhancement to Slow Time shortens the base window of slowed time from 10 seconds to five, but you can extend it by 2.5 seconds by successfully landing headshots. Each of those headshots deals 125% Hunter damage, and you can score up to five before the Ability wears off, meaning a skilled archer can slow time for up to 17.5 seconds.
  • Ares Bull Charge: Instead of sending you barreling into your enemies, this upgraded version of Bull Charge summons a phantom bull to do it for you, knocking them down and dealing 400% Warrior damage.

Not only will they not require skill points, but these abilities can also be switched off in the skill tree if you prefer. Those seeking additional skill points will still find them in Marble Maiden Tributes scattered throughout the world, so get to hunting.
