A new update for Alan Wake 2 is live, addressing various issues with the survival horror title. However, Remedy Entertainment has clarified that it doesn’t feature any improvements for PS5 Pro players. The team has acknowledged feedback from fans while noting that it’s “still researching a few things.”
“We are still researching a few things on the Pro when it comes to improved performance. We’ll keep you posted. As PS5 Pro support was a work of many months, it will take the team longer than a few weeks for changes and improvements.”
PS5 Pro support arrived on November 7th, coinciding with the console’s worldwide launch. However, several reports emerged about iffy results, like PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution producing a shimmering effect in Performance mode for titles like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Silent Hill 2 remake.
Bloober Team released an update to address the latter, though analysis alleges that it replaced PSSR with Temporal Super Resolution (TSR) when using Performance Mode on the console. As for Alan Wake 2, stay tuned for more details. As Remedy noted, it may be a while.
Alan Wake 2 is available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Check out our review for the base game. It sold over 1.8 million copies roughly one year after launch.
🛠️ A new update for Alan Wake 2 has been released. It includes (fingers crossed) fixes for the missing Pat Maine radio shows, and more fixes, improvements and additions.
