NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat 11 is pretty darn good and is being hailed as one of the best in the series by fans and critics alike. However, many have agreed that the progression and rewards from Towers of Time need to be adjusted. Some of the more difficult fights in the mode have also left players sour due to unblockable attacks, AI assists, and whatnot.

After NetherRealm announced a hotfix for the same, creative director and studio founder Ed Boon confirmed on Twitter that it would be coming soon. “In case you missed yesterday’s Kombat Kast: We have a hot fix/improvements koming to address those super hard Towers of Time as well as better rewards/economy to be used in the Krypt. Hoping/expecting it’ll be more like HOURS than days. Will keep you posted.”

Boon added in a follow-up tweet that the team was working to get the hotfix to everyone soon. “Hoping to clear up any confusion in a quick Kombat Kast stream tomorrow as well!” No time was provided, but you should keep an eye out for any updates within the next day or so.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Its campaign and roster of fighters has been praised, the latter especially so for its nuance and attention to detail. While different skins, intros, victory outros, Fatalities, and Brutalities are gated behind the RNG of the Krypt, fans can directly purchase cosmetics with premium currency in the store. Hopefully this hotfix will ensure a viable route through gameplay as well.
