We’ve had one DLC character for Mortal Kombat 11 already, with Shang Tsung launching as a downloadable addition to the game’s roster alongside the game’s release itself. We’ve since been waiting for word on more DLC characters, and now it looks like we won’t have to wait very long.

Taking to Twitter, NetherRealm Studios boss and Mortal Kombat 11 director Ed Boon stated that “if all goes well”, the brutal fighter’s DLC characters will be announced next week. We can’t say what he means when he says “if all goes well”, but let’s hope it goes well anyway, whatever it is. Keep your fingers krossed, like Ed Boon says.

We have some ideas for which characters we’d like to see (as I’m sure everyone does)- quite a few actually. Read our features on this through here and here.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It’s been doing very well for itself since its release. Not only did it top April’s NPD charts, it’s also sold nearly 2 million digital units already, becoming the franchise’s biggest digital launch ever.
