The original loot shooter is coming back this September with Borderlands 3, with a lot of anticipation for what the game will bring, both familiar and new. We know the game will be at this E3, but it might not be the only thing the franchise will see. Allegedly, we might also be going back to the past if some rumored new content for Borderlands 2 is truly happening.
Support has obviously dropped for the previous Borderlands games, all of which have been on the market for a pretty significant time. However, according to PlayStation Lifestyle, they have a source telling them that there will be a DLC for Borderlands 2 around E3 weekend. It will be titled Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary and serve to bridge the gap between the events of the second game and the upcoming third one. Their sources are anonymous, so we’ll have to file this under rumor, but it’s worth keeping on the lookout nonetheless.
Borderlands 3 will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC September 13th. Borderlands 2 is available now on the same platforms as well.
