Nintendo finally unveiled Animal Crossing for the Switch during their E3 2019 Direct presentation, but apart from a brief introductory trailer, didn’t really dive too deep into it and its gameplay. They saved that for their post-E3 Treehouse livestreams, where we got nearly 30 minutes of gameplay footage from the game.
With Aya Kyogoku and Hisashi Nogami of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons development team on hand to speak about the game, plenty of new footage from the title was shown off. New mechanics like crafting, DIY recipes, Tom Nook miles, and more were shown off, while improvements to the visuals and quality of life changes were also discussed. It’s looking quite good, and fans of the series will be happy with how it’s turning out. Take a look below.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons was originally slated for a 2019 launch, but has been delayed, as confirmed by Nintendo during their E3 presentation. It will now release on March 20, 2020.
