EA’s subscription service, EA Access, has finally come to Sony’s PS4. The service has been notably absent from the console despite having launched on both the PC and Xbox One ages ago. Most likely it was because it conflicted, at least in theory, with Sony’s own PlayStation Now service. But that’s neither here nor there as Access is live now on the system, but there is definitely some big cutbacks to the library.
While the service has parity with the other platforms in regards to modern generation games, one aspect of the service was its availability of previous generations of games. Since there’s no backwards compatibility on the PS4, a huge slate of games are missing, 32 to be exact. You can see a full list below or go here.
Depending on how much you want to play these older games, it’s a pretty decent chunk of titles missing. Of course, if you’re only into the modern stuff you probably won’t even think about it. Regardless, the service is now out on Sony’s console for you to decide either way.
