Halo: The Master Chief Collection’s Next PC Flight Will Focus On PvP

343 Industries currently do not have an estimated release date for it, though.

Halo The Master Chief Collection

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is supposed to launch on PC this year, starting with Halo: Reach (which will also be joining the collection on Xbox One), but 343 Industries are taking their time to make sure they’re doing things right this time. Part of that plan is to have multiple betas – or “flights”, as they’re calling them – for Halo Reach on PC, allowing players to test various aspects of the game.

Halo Insiders have already had one beta, while a flight for the game’s Firefight mode is also on the way – 343 says it is still in development – but we now also have information on what kind of a beta the one after that will be. In an update on Halo Waypoint, the developers confirmed that the third (and final) beta for Halo: Reach on PC will focus on PvP, as in the competitive multiplayer modes. Though they gave no dates for when we can expect it, at least we know what it will be. They also confirmed that more details on the upcoming Firefight flight (or “FireFlight”) will be coming soon.

When Halo: The Master Chief Collection launches on PC, it’ll be making it so that all games in the series – Reach, Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, ODST, and Halo 4 – are playable on the platform (many of them for the first time ever)- all except Halo 5, that is. On the Xbox One, when Reach is added to the collection, every Halo game ever will be playable on the console.
