Soon, Nintendo Switch owners will be able to experience one of the weirdest – and also one of the best – Zelda games to date, when The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening’s remake launches a week from now. Expectations are high from the game, given the series name that it carries, and many will be curious to know how well the remake fares as compared to the original classic.

The answer to that question will become a little clearer soon. Metacritic’s official Twitter page confirms that the review embargo for Link’s Awakening will lift on September 19, at 5 AM Pacific Time, which is when reviews for the game will start going live across various outlets and publications. The first review for the game has already dropped though, courtesy of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu.

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is out exclusively for the Switch on September 20, and pre-loads for the game have been live for a while. If you’re curious about what the game is all about – in case you didn’t know that already – you can check out a recent overview trailer through here. If you’re looking for something more extensive, you can watch roughly half an hour of gameplay footage.
