The Game Awards

It’s hard to believe that several years ago Geoff Keighley, who had bounced around from G4 and Spike TV, created The Game Awards as a major reward show for gaming in the vein of the Oscars and Golden Globes. It’s become one of the biggest watch video gaming events, often dwarfing even E3 events. You can catch it live on YouTube and Twitch, but now you’ll be available to see it on an even bigger screen.

As announced by Cinemark, a theater chain in the United States, there will be a select amount of 53 theaters across the country that you can watch a simulcast of the show. For $20 USD, you can watch the show live as well as a special showing of the upcoming film, Jumanji: The Next Level.

The Game Awards 2019 will be broadcast live on December 12th. If you want to try and catch the thing in theaters, you can check out a list of participating theaters through here as well as information on how to buy a ticket.
