Two games released on November 15, and while we’ve already heard about how one of them did, we haven’t so far had much indication about how Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the Souls-Metroidvania blend Star Wars action game from the makers of Titanfall may be doing.
It’s Star Wars, so it should hopefully be doing pretty well though, right? Right. EA confirmed today that Fallen Order is actually the most successful digital launch in the series’ history, which sounds great. It doesn’t say anything about total sales, or even how well it has done at retail, but at least on this one specific metric, it appears it has done well. EA has also confirmed that it is the best launch an EA Star Wars game has had on PC—which can be attributed to this game also being available on Steam, I would assume.
Anyway, it’s a great game, so I am happy for it to find all the success it can. Hopefully, this can help demonstrate to EA that there is still a market for classic single player story driven games.
