Electronic Arts and Valve have announced a partnership to bring the former’s games to Steam. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be coming to Steam (and currently has its own store page) but other titles like The Sims 4 and Unravel Two will also be coming. Next year will see titles like FIFA 20, Apex Legends and Battlefield 5 arrive on Steam.
Origin and Steam players will also be able to play together in multiplayer titles. However, perhaps more interesting is the fact that EA Access, the publisher’s subscription service which contains over 100 games to play, will be available on Steam. It also allows for playing upcoming EA-published titles a week before their official launch.
Obviously there are bigger implications for the launch of EA Access on Steam, like larger player bases for games like Anthem, Battlefield 5 and so on. It also means that EA games like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will reach more users than before. The game is out on November 15th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC – check out the launch trailer here.
