We all like to focus on the good more than the bad, and though there’s been plenty of great games in 2019 that deserve recognition, there’s also been plenty of stuff that fell way below expectations. It’s no fu tearing a game down, and that’s not what this feature is about anyway, but it’s important nonetheless to look back at the low points of the year in hopes that things will be better in the future. And so, here we will be listing what were our fifteen least favourite games of 2019, before giving this dubious honour to one game from that group. Without further ado, let’s get started.
NOTE: The nominees and winner were decided by an internal vote held among the entire GamingBolt staff.
THE NOMINEES:
WWE 2K20
With Yuke’s no longer in charge of the WWE franchise and Visual Concepts taking the reigns, we all expected some transitional difficulties for the series- but no one could have expected things to be so bad. WWE 2K20 is probably the worst WWE game in years, because not only did it not make any meaningful improvements over its predecessors, it was actually worse than them. It was also a buggy mess, which means that simply playing it was a chore, while poor production values and notably outdated visuals also made it seem like a very, very low-effort production.
