The RPG might be out sooner than we think.

Bandai Namco are taking their Tales series in a new direction with the upcoming Tales of Arise, as they look to revitalize the role playing series with fresh new ideas, while still ensuring that it feels like a traditional JRPG. Announced for a 2020 launch last year, Tales of Arise has looked great in all that we’ve seen of it so far- but there hasn’t really been any word on when exactly the game will be out. As it turns out, it could be out sooner than we think.

Tales of Arise has been rated by the Korean Ratings Board (all three versions of the game), as spotted by Gematsu on Twitter. That is significant because age ratings for games don’t usually go live until they’re relatively close to release, which would imply that Tales of Arise’s launch date is closer than we may have initially thought. Of course, this is by no means an official confirmation, but it’s definitely a good indication of the progress the game’s development has made.

Whenever it launches, Tales of Arise will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Check out its recent combat-centric trailer through here.
