PlatinumGames has been teasing their “Platinum 4” for a good while now. We know the first game was a KickStarter for a remaster of The Wonderful 101. Now we know (sort of) what the second one is, and it comes from the legendary Director of the original Devil May Cry and Resident Evil 2, Hideki Kamiya.

As revealed in an interview with Japanese magazine, Famitsu, Kamiya will head a title being referred to now as simply Project GG. He says that he considers it as part of a loose ‘super hero trilogy,’ which begins with Viewtiful Joe as a lone masked hero, and the second being The Wonderful 101 which is about a squadron of heroes. Project GG will be about the giant hero, in the vein of something like Ultraman, presumably (big thanks to ResetERA poster Dusk Golem for transcribing and translating the interview).

The game will be self-published and owned by PlatinumGames, and they will try to launch it on all available platforms if possible. That is, unfortunately, the extent of what we know so far. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait too long for more information.
