It’s been a rough year so far. For, well, a lot of reasons, but the biggest thing has been the pandemic of the COVID-19 virus. Events have been canceled, games delayed, and that’s just the minor stuff when you consider all the large scale issues raging globally right now. There’s no being sure about how things are going to shape up in the immediate future, but more than a few people and entities have been, to their credit, stepping up to help in any way they can. For instance, there’s Bethesda, who’re making a sizeable donation for COVID-19 relief.

The company announced they will be given a total of $1 million toward various coronavirus relief groups. $500,000 will be going to Direct Relief, a charity which provides protective gear to health care workers, $250,000 will be donated to UNICEF, aimed at helping kids, and $250,000 will be given to relief in local areas surrounding its studios in North America and internationally. You can read more about it through here.

It’s a decent chunk to average joes like me (and I imagine many who read this), and every little bit helps. This comes right after Humble Bundle announced they were able to raise over $6 million, so it seems the gaming industry is trying to step up.
