Sometimes you don’t really know you wanted something until it comes along. Gears Tactics is a good example. Combining the tactical strategy of games like XCOM with the universe and aesthetics of the Gears of War franchise ended up being something of a slam dunk for a lot of people, as evident from its Steam placement already.
Seems Gears Tactics is already the top selling game on Steam as of writing this, which you can see through here (top selling games can fluctuate and also change based on region, so keep this in mind). It’s pretty impressive considering the full game hasn’t even unlocked yet in every region, and it is also part of Game Pass. People are hungry for some of that tactical Gears.
