For many that completed the challenges that Terraria had to offer, tModLoader was a gift. It allowed for installing mods that brought heaps of new content and revamped the game considerably. With Journey’s End coming next month, ReLogic has announced that tModLoader will be packaged with it as free DLC.

This basically means that fans can launch tModLoader on Steam itself and access all of the mods available thus far. Based on Terraria’s 1.3.5 version, this will support all available mods with Journey’s End aka update 1.4 kept separate. Don’t worry though – the team behind tModLoader is working to ensure that it is updated to version 1.4 as soon as possible.

In the future, ReLogic will look at adding Steam Workshop support so that mods can be hosted on Steam, thus making them even more accessible to the masses. It’s an exciting initiative overall and should extend the life of Terraria even further. As for Journey’s End, it arrives on May 16th for PC with consoles set to receive it later.
