Nintendo has also been using the game as a type of crossover promotion for their various first party titles as well. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has shattered the companies expectations, like by a lot, and now it seems the game will come over for a visit with Tetris 99 will the latest Maximus Cup. You’ll be able to score a New Horizons theme, which you can see below via the official Twitter. The Maximus Cup will function like the previous ones, where those who manage to get 100 points will get the theme.
Tetris 99 and Animal Crossing: New Horizons are both available now only on the Nintendo Switch. The Animal Crossing Maximus Cup will run through the weekend starting on May 15th and up to the 18th.
