Samurai Shodown

SNK’s Samurai Shodown, the 2019 follow-up in the famed weapon fighting series, releases on June 11th for PC. It will retail for $49.99 though pre-orders can net a 10 percent discount. You can also pick up both Season Passes for $19.99 each at launch. Note that the PC version will release for the Epic Games Store, not Steam.

Samurai Shodown may have brand-spanking new visuals but its gameplay is still very much old-school. Battles can end in just a few sword swings, weapons can be knocked out of enemy hands, and you’ll be jostling for that perfect opportunity whenever possible. Story-wise, it takes place one year after the first game so it’s definitely worth looking into for series’ fans.

Check out our review for the game here. Samurai Shodown is also currently available for Xbox One, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia. Stay tuned for more details on its PC release along with the next fighter coming in Season Pass 2.
