It’s a good week for Nintendo games in the UK. According to the latest UK physical sales charts from UKIE and Gfk, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has risen to the top spot. This is due to sales increasing by 70 percent week-on-week, as per GamesIndustry.biz, which is impressive given the game’s age. However, this isn’t the first time that it secured a top spot in the UK out of the blue.
Ring Fit Adventure managed to hang on to its second place spot while Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics dropped from sixth to ninth place. Sales for the latter only dropped by 19 percent week-on-week though. Other noteworthy Nintendo Switch titles in the top ten include Animal Crossing: New Horizons at fifth place, Minecraft at seventh and Luigi’s Mansion 3 in tenth place.
Overall, there are 15 Nintendo-published games in the top 40 charts for the week ending June 13th. The lack of new releases ensured that juggernauts like Grand Theft Auto 5, FIFA 20 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare remained in the top ten. Check out the list below for more details.
