It’s always interesting to look back at previous showings of high-profile titles and see how the final product shapes up. Downgrades are often unavoidable in this day and age, and Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part 2 is no exception. A comparison video from ElAnalistaDeBits showcases how the current game differs from its E3 2018 demo in terms of graphical details. Check it out below.
Some differences include reduced detail on faces, volumetric lighting not casting shadows of neighboring objects and character models, and so on. In some cases, certain environmental assets have changed or shifted. Though it’s still a great-looking game (as we pointed out in our graphics analysis), the differences from two years ago are clearly noticeable.
Divisive as it may be for some players, Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part 2 has done exceptionally well in its critical and commercial response. It’s the biggest game launch in the UK “by far”, beating out the likes of Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons. You can check out our review for the game here.
