Mass Effect Legendary Edition (3)

Mass Effect will be going back to the good old days soon with the remastered trilogy in the Legendary EditionIn all that BioWare have said about the release so far, they’ve stressed that retaining core aspects of the original trilogy is something that they’ve focused quite a bit on, and that might hold true for the games’ modding scene as well.

Taking to Twitter, project director Mac Walters said that BioWare have been “in touch with a few in the modding community”, and are taking steps to not only update modders on changes made to the games that will impact existing mods, but also taking to steps to “set the modding community up for success going forward.” Walters says that it’s an ongoing process, and that more details on the same will be revealed before launch.

Recently, it was confirmed that though Legendary Edition will include most of the content (including DLC) from the original trilogy, there will be some exceptions, including the first game’s Pinnacle Station DLC and Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition launches for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 14. Check out its PC requirements through here. Walters has also said that BioWare haven’t ruled out an eventual Switch port.
