The next Battlefield game is due out later this year, and a reveal is coming soon, and according to all the leaks so far, it’s set to be something of a reinvention for the franchise. We’ve heard about the game having a co-op campaign, about it being set in a near-future setting, and about the several major expansions its making to its multiplayer formula, and now, ahead of an official announcement that seems to be right around the corner, it seems a couple screenshots of the game have leaked online.

The images themselves – spotted by PC Gamer – are probably screengrabs from the upcoming reveal trailer (hence the lower quality). One image shows a cockpit view of the launch of a rocket, while another shows an aerial shot of an island map with a couple of skyscrapers, helicopters, and a storm brewing on the horizon. Both images seem to support the leaks of a near-future setting, while fans will probably want to disect the HUD shown in the first one. Take a look through the link above.

Battlefield 6, or whatever EA ends up calling it, is supposedly going to be revealed soon. Rumours have suggested that it’s going to be next-gen-exclusive, though again, that’s something we’re going to have to wait for confirmation on. Stay tuned, and we’ll keep you updated.
