Turtle Rock Studios’ beta for Back 4 Blood returns later today, this time being available for all players. However, it seems that things are on track for the full game. Publisher Warner Bros. Games confirmed on Twitter that the co-op shooter has gone gold, meaning it’s ready for disc manufacturing and digital certification.

Described as a spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead, Back 4 Blood sees the Cleaners going up against the parasite-afflicted humans called the Ridden. This means running and gunning through hordes of foes, ranging from the typical to special Ridden like the Ogre, Snitcher, Sleeper and much more. Each playable character has their own unique abilities and perks for the team, whether it’s increased ammo or an extra life.

On top of this, there’s a card system which can increase the challenge, though players can field their own cards to gain certain bonuses in combat. Back 4 Blood is currently slated to release on October 12th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. It will also launch day one on Xbox Game Pass.
