A recent press release from Activision Blizzard sees the company’s CEO Bobby Kotick issuing a statement that the they are working with several regulatory bodies including but not limited to US SEC to conduct investigations on the allegations of sexual misconduct and discrimination.

The press release reiterates that Activision Blizzard has no place for employees who have indulged in acts of sexual harassment and discrimination, and that steps for making the Irvine-based Blizzard a more inclusive workplace are underway. Most importantly, however, it confirmed that SEC is indeed investigating the claims, alongside DFEH of the state of California, EEOC, and NLRB.

Bobby Kotick, Chief Executive Officer of Activision Blizzard, said, “We are deeply committed to making Activision Blizzard one of the best, most inclusive places to work anywhere. There is absolutely no place anywhere in our Company for discrimination, harassment, or unequal treatment of any kind. While we continue to work in good faith with regulators to address and resolve past workplace issues, we also continue to move ahead with our own initiatives to ensure that we are the very best place to work. We remain committed to addressing all workplace issues in a forthright and prompt manner.”

The Activision Blizzard lawsuit has been one of the biggest scandals in recent memory, and investigations have found many high-ranking officials in the company guilty of several charges. Blizzard president J. Allen Brack alongside a litany of other officials from other posts have left the company. Those interested in reading more on the matter can do so through here. The case is still being developed with new information popping up, so stay tuned for the latest updates.
