In a recent interview featured on The Weekly talk show, SloClap co-founder Pierre Tarno revealed that Sifu might be getting more accessibility options further down the line. This comes shortly after the game’s solid critical success and the subsequent discussion surrounding its unforgiving and at times frustrating level of difficulty.

As mentioned on Twitter by show host Steve Saylor, there are a handful of well-appreciated accessibility tweaks in the works. In addition to closed captions and a high-contrast mode for PlayStation platforms, Sifu will also feature multiple difficulty modes, both easier and harder, to allow players to get the most fun out of the experience as per their preferences- similar in nature to the recent Metroid Dread update.

No official announcement on the matter has been made as of yet, so it might be best to keep expectations in check for now. GamingBolt awarded Sifu an 8/10 in our review, stating that it is “a challenging game that rewards far more than it frustrates.” Previously, SloClap also announced that Sifu will be getting post-launch content updates too- read more on that through here.
