There’s a long and exhausting list of games that are currently in development at Ubisoft studios and have endured prolonged and tortured development cycles. Roller Champions is one of them- first announced back in 2019, the free-to-play multiplayer title has, since then, been delayed numerous times. In May last year, however, Ubisoft confirmed that it would finally launch before April 2022.

Well, April 2022 is almost here, and given how little we’ve heard or seen of the game, many have wondered what exactly is going on with it, especially with it recently having been rated by the ESRB as well. To no one’s surprise, it turns out it’s been delayed again.

As reported by journalist Tom Henderson on Twitter, Ubisoft revealed on its Roller Champions Discord server that it’s delayed the game again, saying the development team “will need a bit more time to deliver the successful game you deserve.” It is now targeting a late Spring release.

“We are hard at work for the wait to be worth your confidence in Roller Champions as the game is getting closer to launch every day,” Ubisoft said, before adding, “The wait is almost over and it is thanks to your trust in our team that we have been able to make such progress.”

Ubisoft concluded by saying, “Your continuous support is our fuel during this final stage of production, we’re excited for what’s to come and can’t wait for you to join the arena.”

Roller Champions is in development for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
