While Vanillaware and Atlus have released a trailer teasing the potential calamities in 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, there are a number of mysteries afoot as well. From a talking cat to Men in Black and a strange small robot, Sakura High School is a hotbed for strange occurrences. Check out the latest trailer for the Nintendo Switch version below.

On the surface, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is about giant Kaiju seeking to destroy Japan. The only thing that can stop them are the Sentinels but they can only be piloted by select high school students. Though it starts in 1985, the story jumps around various time periods from the perspective of 13 different characters.

When it’s time to fight, the action shifts to tactical strategy/tower defense as the Sentinels must defend the Aegis from the Kaiju. In between battles, players explore the world, conversing with others and ultimately unraveling the plot. One thing is for sure though – nothing is as it seems.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is available for PS4 and launches on April 14th for Nintendo Switch. Stay tuned for more details on the Switch version in the coming weeks.
