Battlefield 2042

DICE has been putting out fires in Battlefield 2042 ever since the game’s disastrous launch, and it hasn’t helped that the slow rollout of updates and delays have continued to make fans more frustrated with the game. We did get a new update earlier this month though, which finally added a revamped scoreboard, and it seems another new update is not far away either.

In a post on the official EA forums, DICE’s community manager Straatford87 stated that the studio is planning on releasing a “considerable” new update for Battlefield 2042 in April, which will large be focused on fixing bugs, but will also make a few balancing changes to here and there.

“The next will be considerable (April), and we’re currently looking at a few hundred changes. It’s mostly bug fixes, but we’re also looking to make further changes to for example vehicle balance and the current behavior of attachments for weapons.”

Of course, Battlefield 2042 players are no strangers to much-needed updates getting delayed, so hopefully that won’t be the case here.

Recently, DICE also confirmed that it’ll be reworking and altering existing maps in Battlefield 2042 based on feedback from players, starting with Kaleidoscope when season one kicks off this summer, with future maps also taking the same into account. Read more on that through here.
