The likes of Microsoft, Take-Two Interactive, and Sony have made huge splashes in the industry in recent months with massive acquisitions, while other companies like Tencent, NetEase, and others have been part of the conversation of multi-billion dollar acquisitions as well. While Embracer Group’s deals haven’t been nearly on that level, in terms of sheer volume, the company has been busier than most out there.

Embracer Group – parent company of Deep Silver, Saber Interactive, THQ Nordic, and many others – has spent a whopping $8.1 on a total of 62 acquisitions since the beginning of 2020, and it seems the company has no intentions of slowing down.

Speaking with Financial Times (via VGC), Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors said that the company plans on continue its spending spree, with about as many more acquisitions planned for the coming months and years. An area that Embracer is looking to expand is the free-to-play market, while the company is also looking to make acquisitions particularly in the US, the UK, France, China, and Poland.

Embracer has made a number of acquisitions over recent months and years, including the likes of Dark Horse Media, Gearbox Entertainment, 3D Realms, and many more. In November last year, the company said it was planning on making another 37 acquisitions over the coming 12-month period.

Earlier this year, Embracer Group said that across all of its publishing labels and development studios, it was planning on releasing over 25 AAA games by April 2026. Read more on that through here.
