Koei Tecmo employees are in for some pleasant news, as the company has announced that they will be increasing the base salaries of their staff from June, followng in Capcom’s footsteps.

The company announced the news on Friday, when they said that the increase in base salaries will help improve employees’ job satisfaction. Koei Tecmo says it’s planning to introduce an average 23 percent increase in base salaries, which will see employees taking home an extra 73,000 yen each month on an average.

Furthermore, Koei Tecmo is also increasing the monthly starting salaries for new graduates by 56,000 yen to 290,000 yen. Additionally, apart from the regular performance bonus, the company said it will introduce a new special bonus to employees for early achievement of its mid-term management plan.

The move can be credited to the fact that the company had a favorable performance in the last fiscal year, and also believes that it will exceed its profit target during the current fiscal year.
