Capcom is Raising Base Salaries for Japanese Employees by 30%

The Japanese company confirms that starting April 1, it will be increasing its average employee base salaries in Japan by 30%, along with facilitating a structure designed to improve communication among employees.

Capcom employees in Japan are in for some good news, as the company has announced that starting April 1st, which is the beginning of the 2022-23 fiscal year, the average base salaries of the company’s employees in Japan will be increasing by 30%, along with a new bonus system being introduced that will be tied to the company’s business performance.

Capcom announced its plans for improving staff compensation alongside the news of reorganizing the company’s human resources division. A new structure designed to facilitate communication between management employees is also being put in place, and will be headed by a chief HR officer, a newly established role at the company.

The Japanese developer and publisher will report its fiscal results for the final quarter of fiscal year 2021-22 in May, so stay tuned for more details on that front, including updated sales figures for the company’s  games and possible news on upcoming plans.
